Job Position Terminated
Corporate came in yesterday and wiped us out. I no longer have a job. The positions are not going to be refilled. I’m going to try to file for unemployment and find a new job. A new door is opening. There will be a better job out there.

One quick suggestion: File your claim for benefits immediately. Most states delay the first payment and many states are struggling with a backlog of unprocessed unemployment claims. You probably don’t want to go several weeks with no income.

A tip from a survivor of the tech bust. Cut back on all unnecessary expenses starting today. If you get any severance, invest that in food storage. If you find another job quickly, then you can add back those expenses. The food on hand will always come in handy. I was out of work for 13 months and went from $50k a year to an $8 an hour job. If I’d known what was in store, I’d have done the things I mention to you now. You just never know how things will turn out. Don’t let that bring you down though. All you need to find is one job.
