2008 Taxes
We have officially filed our taxes for last year. Free!! and Efile!!! Hopefully we’ll get what little refund we’re going to be getting soon.
Job Position Terminated
Corporate came in yesterday and wiped us out. I no longer have a job. The positions are not going to be refilled. I’m going to try to file for unemployment and find a new job. A new door is opening. There will be a better job out there.
first 5 steps.. and he’s ggoonneeee
My baby boy took his first steps just moments ago. Five steps to be exact before he fell down. It’s not going to be very long before he’s walking full time.
The look on his face was precious. He was so proud of himself, and of course we cheer and told him how good he did.

March For Babies
I have decided to do the March for Babies/March of Dimes walk this year. It’s 5 miles total and I’m getting geared up for it already. My husband is going to walk it with me and we’re going to be pushing C in the stroller. I’m so pumped to have this opportunity to enrich my life as well as the lives of others. Looking into the mirror
Every time I look into the mirror I dislike what I see a little more each time. I only have one mirror in my house and it’s in the bathroom. I don’t look in it very often and I honest wish I could cover it forever. When I’m at the Y I choose the treadmill that isn’t in front of the mirrors and if it’s occupied I do my best not to look.
I’m not really sure when I started hating mirrors but I’ve never been very confident in myself. I don’t feel beautiful or sexy. I can’t seem to figure it all out. When I do look into a mirror I want to look away. Where is my neck? Why do I have hair on my face? Why does my smile always look fake?
Seedlings
There is something magical about getting soil under your fingernails and eating the fruit of your harvest. Last year I was to concerned with having a baby to worry about a decent sized garden but this year, oh this year, the vegetables are going to fly.
We’ve got bell pepper seedlings that are about an inch tall. We transplanted them from the egg crates to a big plastic container. Tomato seeds went into the egg crates so we’ll see how long it takes for them to poke out of the soil.
We’ve decided to do raised box beds to make like easier. We need to get the materials gathered for that so that after it warms up we can get started with the construction. I hope to be outside a whole lot this spring and summer.
Nothing much to update
We’ve just been cleaning and getting the house ready for Spring. It’s been a little crazy because my mom is out of town in NC. She’s visiting her sister who has terminal lung cancer.
My dad’s sisters have been watching the baby while she’s out of town. So the schedule has been a bit odd. The baby has been a tad sick the last few days. I’m going to call the peds office tomorrow to see when they can get him in. I’m going to have them run a lead test just in case.
That’s it in a nutshell.
